Database of South American Languages (DSAL)

The DSAL (Database of South American Languages) is a collection of databases encompassing lexical, morphological, and syntactic annotation from various South American languages, representing diverse language families. The databases offer simple and partial cognacy judgement conducted by domain experts with the assistance of computational methods. Additionally, language experts contribute colexifications and annotations, enhancing the overall usability of these databases. Dependency annotations within the treebanks are either undertaken or closely supervised by specialists in the languages. These databases are designed to serve as a valuable resource for researchers in the fields of (computational) historical linguistics and beyond, particularly those engaged in the study of South American languages.
